The Physics department

Goals:

• Exposure of young students to a multidisciplinary academic subject and to novice technologies.
• Encouragement of curiosity and motivation to struggle with challenges in physics.
• Development of logical, creative and critical thinking of solving problems in physics.
• Prepare more students for research, development, initiation and knowledge-intensive industry.
• Provision of individual instruction and group teachers’ training courses for the school staff.

The departments’ team consists of physicians all of whom posses an MA or a PhD and are experts in the discipline of teaching physics.

How is the change done?
Teaching Physics from 7th grade of Junior High School.
Building a unique teaching programme based on the Israeli Ministry of Education curriculum.
Development of supplementary learning materials for enrichment and deepening.
Provision of individual instruction and group teachers’ training courses for the school staff.
Running a biennial Physics Olympic Game in Junior High School.
Use of an online communication teaching platform (CASEBOOK).
